Official: Pistoia, one-year deal with Austrian center Luka Brajkovic
A.S. Estra Pistoia Basket 2000 announced that it has reached a one-year agreement with center Luka Brajkovic. In the season just ended, he played in Greece with Kolossos Rhodes: in 28 games, he produced 14 points and 6.6 rebounds on average (fifth-best rebounder in the league). Six times he scored a double-double and in 22 out of 28 games he went into double figures in points scored. With his team he finished the regular season in sixth place and then went out in the playoff quarterfinals.
“After talking with Ron Rowan and Marco Sambugaro, I decided to immediately accept Pistoia's proposal - are Luka Brajkovic's first words in the red and white - because I want to be part of this project that is very ambitious, as I am. In the meantime, I thank them for the trust they have given me and I can't wait to come and play in Pistoia, knowing how warm the red and white fans are: the people of this city I know love basketball and the club has an important history in Italian basketball. My goal is to help the team win games from day one and I look forward to the start of the season to play in front of our public.”
