Rumor: Serge Ibaka could leave Real Madrid

After Dennis Smith Jr.'s departure, another player might soon leave Real Madrid. According to Mundo Deportivo, Serge Ibaka and the club are both unhappy with the current situation. The Congolese-Spanish forward joined the team last summer after a successful season at Bayern Munich with Pablo Laso, who selected him to revive his European career after 14 years in the NBA. Ibaka reportedly asked the club not to rejoin the team after the FIBA windows break. With the signing of Bruno Fernando, his playing time has become even more limited: just 12 minutes per game in Liga Endesa and the same in EuroLeague (6.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and a 6.5 PIR on average). Ibaka is dissatisfied, especially since he was brought in to be the backup for Tavares after Vincent Poirier's departure. It's worth noting that the EuroLeague transfer window is closed; teams can only add players who haven't played in the competition this season, and they have until Round 27 (February 26) to make any moves.
