Former Lakers Armel Traoré officially signs in Spain

BAXI Manresa has made a significant market move by bringing 22-year-old Armel Traoré back to Europe. The native of Créteil, France, was not selected in the 2024 NBA Draft but signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers last summer. During his time in the NBA, he played 9 games, averaging 1.6 points and 1.7 assists in 7.3 minutes. He also spent considerable time in the NBA G League, where he played for the South Bay Lakers, averaging 14.6 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 27.3 minutes per game.

Traoré began his professional career with Pôle France and has since played for Monaco, Evreux, Boulogne-Levallois, and Blois. In the 2023/24 French league season, he averaged 10.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Now, he will be playing for the first time in the Liga Endesa and the Basketball Champions League.
