CJ Massinburg confirms he'll leave Brescia: "I'll miss the city and the fans"
CJ Massinburg, the LBA Sixth Man of the Year, will leave Germani Brescia at the end of his contract with the club (he's going to play for Besiktas). To BresciaOggi he talked about some regrets he has from this year. “It was a season with many victories, many clear-cut, the kind that as a player you always dream of winning and hope to repeat in the following year. Of course we wanted to win the championship: it was our goal, our dream, our desire. We were not very lucky if you think about the injuries we suffered right at the end of the season. A pity, because we had the qualities to try to fight until the end.”
What will remain in Massinburg from this season. “Some regrets, because I think we could have taken some more satisfaction. And it would have been nice to win not only for us, but especially for the people around us. Brescia is a special place for me, and I will carry these two intense years spent with you in my heart. For me it means home. I will miss Brescia very much, I will miss the fans and the city.”
