Report: JJ Redick to meet formally with the Lakers for the first time
According to reports by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Los Angeles Lakers will meet again with JJ Redick over the weekend. First formal talks for the former Los Angeles Clippers guard, who despite recent rumors about another candidate, James Borrego, now appears to be the favorite in the bench race nothing came of Dan Hurley, who decided to stay at UConn.
Reports ESPN that Lakers GM Rob Pelinka and Redick have been in contact throughout the entire search process for Ham's replacement. He will now be allowed to prove that he is the right man to lead the Lakers, with player development expected to be a key focus. Redick is close friends with LeBron James, but he has no coaching experience; he is now an analyst at ESPN.
