Reggio Emilia, Baskonia reportedly interested on Marco Spissu
Marco Spissu's contract with Reyer Venice is expiring, and although in recent weeks there has been talk of a negotiation for renewal, perhaps on a two-year basis, La Nuova di Venezia reports this morning of an interest from Unahotels Reggio Emilia. The former Dinamo player would be “tempted” by the situation: it should be recalled that in his Kazan days he was coached by coach Dimitris Priftis, while the general manager of the Russians was Claudio Coldebella, now at the helm of the biancorossa management.
According to the same report, Spissu is on the radar of Baskonia, which is looking for the new coach after the separation from Dusko Ivanovic. This season the 1995 class has averaged 7.6 points with 3.8 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 24.6 minutes with 36.7 percent from three. Better numbers in the EuroCup: 14 games with an average of 12.7 points, 5.6 assists and 2.6 rebounds, 45.6% from three-point range.
