Official: Nikola Kalinic returns to Crvena Zvezda with a 3yrs deal
It had been talked about for weeks now, and this morning came the long-awaited announcement: Nikola Kalinic is returning to Crvena Zvezda. The two sides have reached the deal, with the player returning to his homeland on a rich three-year deal (Serbian media were talking about five million total). The forward thus leaves Barcelona, where he spent the last two seasons. This is his third adventure at Crvena Zvezda, where he played in the 2014/2015. and 2021/2022 seasons. With the Serbian club he was a two-time champion of Serbia and the ABA League, and in 2022 he was MVP of the ABA. Last season with the Catalans' jersey he recorded 7.3 points (45% from two, 40% from three, 58% free throws), 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists in 24 minutes played per game.
