Lakers, JJ Redick among head coach candidates for next season?
The Los Angeles Lakers are preparing to make huge decisions after the end of their Nba season and it seems that Darvin Ham's future is already written. He will not probably be the one to sit at the helm of the Lakers bench next season. According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, one of the candidates to take the Lakers' reins is JJ Redick. "JJ certainly is a real candidate if they open up this coaching search," McMenamin said. "But there's, I'd say, a half a dozen folks out there."
JJ Redick retired from the NBA in 2021.Right now he is ESPN's NBA Analyst and is the face of two podcasts, one of which - The Old Man and the Three and Mind the Game - co-hosted with LeBron James. Redick has no coaching experience as of yet, but he is considered a very interesting profile to bet on. He recently held talks with the Charlotte Hornets, who would be strongly considering him for the head coaching role left vacant by Steve Clifford.
