According to L'Equipe, he will leave the team to sign with another French club, Tony Parker's Asvel Villeurbanne, which also competes in the EuroLeague. In 2016 he was part of the starting five along white  Durant, Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka and Steven Adams, that arrived to the Western Conference finals before losing against the Warriors.

In 2018, Roberson ruptured his patellar tendon in his left knee. After two years he came back playing 7 game in the 2019/20 season. The next season he played 5 games with the Nets. He returned to play in the GLeague only in 2022/23.
