A EuroLeague friendly tournament in September with Virtus, Olimpia, Fener and Olympiacos

Just before the start of the new season, Giorgios Bartzokas' Olympiacos will play a friendly tournament with a EuroLeague flavor in Crete, according to Greek website sdna.gr. The other participants are Ettore Messina's Olimpia Milano and Luca Banchi's Virtus Bologna, and complemented by another continental league great, Sarunas Jasikevicius' Fenerbahçe. The tournament will reportedly take place over the weekend of September 14 and 15, and the semifinal pairings have not yet been made official. For the two Italian teams, these will be the finishing friendlies for the following weekend, which will see the official opening of the 2024-25 season with the Italian SuperCup on the 21st and 22nd of September.
