Official: Matt Mitchell a new player of Zalgiris Kaunas with a 1+1 contract
More than a month since the deal was rumored comes the official announcement of Matt Mitchell signing with Zalgiris Kaunas. Here is the first reinforcement towards next season for coach Andrea Trinchieri: a power forward, 25, Mitchell averaged 12.5 points with Besiktas in EuroCup with also 4.9 rebounds per game. In the Turkish league he averaged 10.3 points with 3.8 rebounds. In the previous two seasons he played with Strasbourg in France. The contract is 1+1. "In the EuroCup he was one of the most interesting basketball players in his role, and he had been on our radar for some time.
