Simone Fontecchio could not miss the Detroit Pistons' Media Day after spending the summer in rehabilitation. Here are his statements reported by SkySport, which confirm those of general manager Trajan Langdon: “I'm fine, I'm 100 percent, since a month I've also returned to 5vs5. Langdon? I didn't know him personally, I talked to him all summer and I'm glad they sent him along with Chris Hart [Pistons athletic trainer, ed] to follow me for a week and something. Having them with me and having them at my home in Pescara was fun. The Pistons showed how much they wanted me by trading for me. I don't take that for granted. I will always be grateful to the Pistons for making that decision.”
