NBA guard Lonnie Walker IV signs with EuroLeague club Zalgiris Kaunas
Zalgiris Kaunas has reached an agreement with NBA guard Lonnie Walker IV. This was confirmed by the player's agents to ESPN. In recent days there had been rumors about some talks with Real Madrid. Instead he will end up playing for Italian coach Andrea Trinchieri in Lithuania, going to further improve a Zalgiris that started the EuroLeague season with 5 wins and 1 loss. Deal included an NBA exit clause until February 18. He goes to replace Tyrone Wallace. In his six NBA seasons, Walker played 322 games (88 as a starter) with San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets. In his career he averaged 9.8 points per game, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 20.3 minutes. In his last season with Brooklyn, Walker recorded averages of 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 17 minutes.
