Maxibasket - Italian Giorgio Maria Bortolozzi record: on the court at 80 years!

(by Mario Natucci). The Maxibasket Fimba World Championships are about to start in Montecatini Terme (30 june - 9 july). There is someone who has already won a prize. We are talking about Giorgio Maria Bortolozzi from Treviso (Italy), who will come on the court at the age of 80. No one can deny the award for the world's oldest italian player. Then maybe a medal will come, or even the title, who knows. However, Bortolozzi has some familiarity with gold medals and international titles, as he has already won two World Cups in the Long Jump and two in the Triple Jump (Over 75), European titles and placements from Winning podium in decades of international agonistic activity. On the jersey Giorgio will have a number 80. Giorgio is certainly to be watched and admired when running with an elastic and athletic pace that is difficult to find even in fifty years.
